Guide to Colour Selection on Printed Coffee Mugs
The best way to go about choosing your Printed Coffee Mugs decoration colours is by having the colours opposite.
A strong colour or dark decoration is normally recommended on lighter coloured mugs, and a lighter decoration on darker coloured mugs.
Printing certain ceramic colours may be difficult. Certain Colours shades of pink, purple and magenta aren't available, but we can supply and an example of the closest match available. But we recommend that if possible you avoid these colours. We will try our best to match your specific PMS colour as close as possible.
If you are concerned about colour matching on your Printed Mugs then I suggest you order a preproduction sample before the run of your entire order. Global Promo in most cases will supply a pre-production Printed Mug Sample to you, for you to approve before final production, free of charge.
Dark Mugs when decorating a black or very dark mug, allow for an extra colour in the decoration price and 1 extra colour setup, this to allow for a white base under the final decorated colour, this helps to prevent the dark background coming through the final colour.
E.g. A white imprint on a black mug may seem to have a grey look.
Reverse prints can be very effective we have pictures in the Printed Mug Gallery.
If in doubt simply send your artwork to us and we all advise you.
Remember that you will be sent a printed paper layout of your artwork which can be cut out and fixed to a coloured mug to see how it will look.
If you want a Printed Coffee Mugs in a specific colour you can wrap print in a solid colour and reverse print your text, which will mean that the text is the actual mug base colour and the majority of the mug is in your unique colour.
